2 Two chairs from Alderman Studio raised $1525 among top sellers
at the Chair Affair benefit auction of 40 artistic Adirondack Chairs for toddlers scholarships at the Monadnock Community Early Learning Center July 25. The Center gives kids a healthy, cheerful place to play and learn with friends, and Moms, freedom for work, education, or a break in the day.
Holly Alderman's Homage to the Hummingbird (in the Honeysuckle) raised the bidding to $1100. Before the auction, Holly's chair appeared in the window at Ann Henderson Interiors in Keene.

Eliot McLellan's Ocean Chair, composed entirely in spray paint with his subtle one-of-a-kind stencils, sold for a high bid of $425 to Cy Gregg. Before the auction Eliot's chair appeared in the window of Nonie's Restaurant for 3 weeks.

Holly's 2 golden dragonfly chairs won a bid of $950 two years ago at MCELC's first Adirondack Chair benefit, from Donna Hanley, Controller of the New Hampshire Ball Bearings in Peterborough. Donna said her golden chairs have been outside for 2 summers and are still bright as new.
