Buy beautiful boulders and landscape rocks
for urban parks and designer gardens

North Acres is also a resource for landscape designers looking for boulders and rocks for parks or private gardens. Emerson and Thoreau hiked in the woods nearby often, a century ago, and wrote about the mountain and the views. The beauty is still the same, and some of the fields have been cleared of boulders that are now available. For example, about 40 boulders were pushed into the woods from a field, randomly, about 50 years ago, to make mowing the small field more enjoyable. The rocks acquired moss and lichen, the patina of the forest. Some are being used as steps for a terrace nearby.
To move a stone wall that is a boundary marker is not allowed in New Hampshire. But lone rocks are moveable and stone walls that do not define property lines can be moved and could be sold to be rearranged as chimneys or walls or steps for new locations. I'd like to see some of the boulders as attractions or seating in parks.
My favorite arrangement of landscape boulders is next to the Science Center at Harvard, often shrouded in mist from irrigation sprayers.
