We occasionally have full size "floor model" panels
Designers may request to borrow view-books with variations of color and tone. Designers may request full size samples which must be returned in a few weeks.
Colors
Expect to pay a small charge for a custom color match, for the camera work and sending strike-offs or proofs which give you total control of color choices.*
A good starting point to communicate your color preference is a Pantone number. If a Pantone book is not available, specify or send alternative color samples such as a paint brand and color number and name, or swatches or fabrics, and we can match those colors on strike-offs for your review and approval. We test variations of light and dark, contrast, subtle tones and special effects.
Custom sizes
Printed scenes are specially made to fit your unique space. The scenes are designed for walls above a chair rail but we also print for floor-to-ceiling insallations.
Custom panel widths or roll widths are determined by your space.
We print one panel at a time, often 34.5 inches wide and up to 90 inches long or longer for an additional fee. Wallpaper rolls are usually 17 to 22 inches wide and up to 20 feet long. Our flat surfaces such as mirrors or wood can be up to 4 x 8 feet.
Our custom fabrics can be up to 54 inches wide and minimum length is 3 yards for:
- linens
- cottons
- denim
- fine art papers
- self adhesive fabric - easy wall covering or print rooms
- canvas styles
- sheer silk
- polyester FR
- cotton cloth FR
- acetate for back lighting
- metal and wood panels and more
- ask about special orders and new ideas
Proofs or strike-offs: needed for matching colors or tonal values. Usually 8 x 10 inches. Designers and clients should plan to review at least 1, sometimes 2 or 3 proofs, to approve and sign off custom samples. Plan to examine proofs on site - in the actual installation location - in morning, afternoon and evening light and artificial light. Proofs for complex projects depend on the scale of the endeavor. Proofs can also be very large, such as 34.5 x 90 inches.
*Custom colors and special effects may require an additional fee based on artwork, set up, proofs, printing and shipping.

If customers who are not design professionals are interested to order scenes, we refer them to professional designers through the Boston Design Center.

Consultations for planning custom projects are billed like interior designer or architect fees, $75 to $200 per hour, starting with retainers or advances plus travel expenses.
Retouching
Many designers value the patina of 200 years exactly "as is".
We can retouch the images in Photoshop for a perfect new edition. Whatever level of retouching you desire is possible.
Medium Retouching -- major areas of imperfections fixed, 3 weeks needed to complete.
Perfectionist "like new" Retouching -- all blemishes, imperfections and discoloration fixed; includes approval process, 6 weeks needed to complete.
